TriXX ~ the Primitive Black Halloween Cat

Be on the look out for TriXX

he's a rascal of a Black Cat

he'll sneak up on you before you know it and

one never knows what's in his prim Bag of Tricks

TriXX the Cat is handmade, he's a stump kitty

(you're probably thinkin'...well how's he supposed to

sneak up on me with no legs?)  I can't answer that, must be

a trick in that old sack of his!

TriXX is 7 1/2" tall.  He has a Rusty Ringer ie. bell, around his neck,

thought maybe you'd hear him comin' that way.

Ready to celebrate Independence Day, in all his Patriotic Glory

This Primitive Americana Teddy would be a perfect addition to your Independence Day decor or add to your year round Americana goodes.

Star * Spangled * Bear is one of my handmade prim teddies.  He has an Olde & Worn ...... Dirty & Grubby look about him.  Mis-matched button eyes, make-do patches and mends all add to the primitive look of this boy bear.

I handstitched wool stars about his body, hence the Star Spangled Bear name.  His arms and legs are sewn in a fixed position so he is not poseable.  In his paw, he holds a Dried Blue Thistle, my take on a Sparkler for him, after all he's celebrating!

Primitive Folk Art Mammy Doll

My first Mammy Doll, here she is.  She is inspired by a Mammy Doll crafted in 1850, I saw a picture in one of my prim decorating books and thought I'd try my hand at making one.

The Mammy that I patterned her after had such wonderful character, she had leather arms and legs with a fabric body and head.

This Mammy is my rendition of her.  My Mammy is a fabric body doll, her arms & legs have been aged to have a leather look about them. She is partially rag stuffed.  I made her dress from aged fabrics & did some hand stitchin' on her clothes. Found some old rings in my button box for earrings.

Mammy is 19" tall

Grace & Libby are

America's Sweethearts

They are both very proud to be Americans and like to show Patriotism for their country.

Grace and Libby are little Cupboard Tuck Dolls, each doll comes with a Grungy Ticking Pillow that is stuffed with lumpy n bumpy rags.  I have handstitched their faces and also their hair.  Each Doll & Pillow comes with an aged paper, Grace with the Declaration of Independence and Libby with a handwritten letter by Abe Lincoln.

Grace and Libby are 6" tall, the Pillows are just a bit bigger.
